How long can I keep your granulate mixture?

As a rule, a granular mixture is prescribed for immediate use, i.e. you start taking it as soon as you receive it. There may be exceptions, for example if you are travelling and take an emergency medicine with you or if you have an emergency medicine with you that is used for an acute event (allergy, frequent infections, asthma attack, cystitis...). Complemedis must define an expiry date due to regulatory requirements. We have tested retained samples, some of which were several years old and could not prove any loss of active ingredient in the laboratory. Granules are granulated with starch by our main supplier for the very reason that the active ingredients remain stable for a long time if stored properly. It is not the case that granules become toxic once they have passed their expiry date. As with all foods, mould or bacterial colonisation could occur in unfavourable cases, i.e. if they are not stored properly. See also the previous question.

How do I get my herbal mixture?

Make an appointment at a TCM practice. Your TCM specialist will then send us a customised herbal formula on your behalf, which we will prepare for you. We will either send the finished mixture directly to your home or you can collect it from a pharmacy or drugstore that co-operates with us.

Why do you sometimes not send my herbs to my home and I have to pick them up at a pharmacy or drugstore?

This only applies to prescriptions prescribed by a non-medical TCM specialist. prescribed by a non-medical TCM specialist. A certain lobby has brought this about court. We hope that this will change with the next revision of the Therapeutic Products Act.

How long does it take to make my herbal blend?

TCM orders that are sent to us before 4.00 pm are dispatched by post on the same day. As a rule, the herbs will arrive in your letterbox or at your chosen delivery point the following day.

What shipping options do you offer?

We can send most of our deliveries by letter post. As standard, we ship with A-Post Plus or Postpac Priority if it is a parcel.

Do you offer tracking of my herb order?

Yes, as soon as your order is ready for despatch, we will send you tracking details so that you can see the current delivery status.

Do I have to pick up my herbal mixture in person at the pharmacy or drugstore?

No, you can also ask someone to collect the herbal mixture for you.

I cannot collect my prescription from the pharmacy/drugstore. Is there no way to have it sent directly to my home?

However, in emergencies (e.g. high fever, inability to walk, too long a journey to the pharmacy/drugstore...) your TCM specialist can request that the remedy be sent directly to your home. Describe your emergency situation to the prescriber.

When and where do I have to pay for my herbs?

A payment slip is enclosed with your herbal consignment. Payment at the dispensary is not possible. You pay the invoice yourself and then claim the money back from your supplementary insurance with the claim receipt and the copy of the prescription.

The herbs are too expensive for me. Can I return them?

No, take-back is excluded. For reasons of patient safety, pharmacies are not permitted to reuse medicines that have already been supplied. Almost all TCM specialists work with our prescription software. This displays the price of your prescription. Next time, ask your therapist for the price.
